Logic was a European concept, most probably developed by the Greeks. You don't realise it most of the time but if you were brought up and educated in a western system you were taught logic. If this, then that. If not this, then not that etc.

The only place you find Aristotelian login in HKG/China is in western educated people.

As a mentor cautioned me because of my western education when I arrived in Hong Kong, "Never ask the reason 'Why' in Hong Kong. The answer will drive you crazy"

Back to the thread, but my two cents says that there is no way that you will be able to leave the aircraft on arrival in China for crew rest to operate a flight later. Try your countries CAA for a dispensation to take crew rest on the aircraft on the ground if you are really desperate, but you are grasping at straws here.
