The Yugoslav holiday flights had several advantages over those to Spain etc. They appeared to do no night flights, and for the UK at least operated almost wholly on Saturdays/Sundays. Indeed that is so how it was - Often at LGW seeing 2 or often 3 JAT Aviogenex and Inex Adria jets all on the ramp together...Same with SAM - 2 or sometimes 3 Caravelles all on the deck.
The Duty Free run for the crews was legendary as you mention.
