Photos taken yesterday.
Work has yet to start on the Luton Dart Parkway forecourt although this would not necessarily
stop the Railway Station - Dart Station interchange opening up before completion, as that is confined to the first floor.
Taken through rather dirty windows, these two photos shows Parkway's lobby for passengers that will arrive by car or on foot.
Heading up the hill the station has been named.
The passenger walkway from the station to the terminal is still under construction. It is identical to the existing walkway. Photo also shows the planned infill site for stage one of the proposed airport expansion. The tiny infill, which will bring out the terminal so it is level with the dark grey frontage will allow the airport to handle an extra 3.5m passengers. Site access for construction and materials will be challenging to say the least, as will passenger comfort at 21.5m
No idea what this is going to be for but I am speculating some sort of parking area looking at the depth of the foundations. This sits over the tunnel so won't be anything substantial.
