Hello everyone!recently I’ve performed a non ETOPS flight over Mainland China and one of my enroute altn was Beijing Capital ZBAA. At the dispatch phase I noted NOTAM that states :”.AD NOT AVLB FOR ALTN EXCEPT EMERGENCY FLIGHT”, so I called my FCC to coordinate this airport change before the flight. I was surprised when they told me” so Capt what’s the problem ? You will be able to land there in case of emergency….”
So I want to know your opinion about adequacy of this airport!
