An MPL more than likely put you straight into a job if it all goes smoothly, but if some one has a real interest flying I don't know why you would sign up for a 100k course that only has 70 to 80 real flying hours in it.
I would argue if one has a real interest in flying s/he joins the next gliding club. Commercial aviation is not the "pure" flying joy anyway. It is heavily regulated by both aviation regulations as well as internal rules and SOPs.
