I remember vividly the last 1Gp mass survival scramble of Vulcans from WAD and SCA. A lovely sunny day, as both stations launched everything they had … each departing on their 4 designated fan-tracks in turn … Track 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 … it went on and on and on, smoke trails from both sets of tracks clearly defined in the N. Lincs sky. And the County vibrated from the roar of both Wings launching for several minutes. How many launched? No idea, but there were
lots of them!
I never heard of any noise complaints in circulation.
