I don't know where you're getting your info but you're not getting the full picture. Green cards are being offered in some settings and will only expand in future. Do your time in a regional and move on. I don't think any regional expects you to be with them for too long. Yet again, Australians being parochial and worst of all ignorant. There's a big, wide world out there.
