I did not realize my dad was instructing Col Sweet. Interesting. It's true Dad had flown 100 missions in Nam. He also successfully shot down a MIG in the F-105 thus saving his commander from begin shot down. He came home from Nam and we moved to Nellis where he began training in the F111. He was privileged to fly the first F-111 to Upper Heyford with the Base Commander. He loved flying and I believe, was good at his chosen profession.
