Stop means stop and put parking brakes on and do the Abnormal procedures which may include securing the engine by use of single or double engine fire extinguisher and going all the way to EVAC required or not required. If required and you forget to put the parking brake on all good work may end in nothing. If not required one can always put it off and vacate the RW. Do other decision making outside the active runway.
