Goodday Citationdos,
Sorry to be reading all that.

[...] closed due to irregularities. Some time ago it was the first school in Spain investigated by the English Civil Aviation [...]
At the time I also had heard talking about a UKCAA investigation that must have occurred some time before 2008, however I've not seen or heard any significant outcome of that and definitely no ensuing "school closure". Madrid Cuatro Vientos with so many flight schools, aeroclubs, private flyers, multiple cafés and restaurants on one location has always been strive with rumours and gossip, perhaps fitting for a Rumours Network, but it would help the Professional side of PPRuNe if you had more specific references for your claims.

BTW it was probably also the first school in Cuatro Vientos with a substantial number of students from the UK receiving training for ratings in their UK issued licences. The CAA are unlikely to investigate a school where no UK citizen or pilot ever sets foot.

[...] and then by the accident of the twin engine of the m-40 where two pilots died.
That was a very tragic accident indeed. Although you do not say it, you are suggesting that the school was involved, at least from the thread title you have chosen. The CIAIAC accident reports (sp & en) provide a detailed description of the accident and stated fuel starvation as the main cause with other contributing factors mentioned gear/flap down and prop not feathered. No mention is made of this flight having been a school flight, as far as I can tell the aircraft was rented for a revalidation in a private flight. And except for the very day after the accident when hoisting activities were taking place in the accident area on approximately left base Rwy 28, and when all of Cuatro Vientos operations had been suspended, the school had certainly not been closed, not immediately and not during many years after.

As both allegations above also pre-date your own PPRuNe entry moment may I suspect this is largely hearsay?

Now they have not flown for two months again with the school closed.
Do you have any specific information about the reason for this closure that you have noticed?

I am very sorry for the pilots who are studying there [...]
I fulheartedly agree with you on that one, and not only for the pilots studying there, those working there - flying or otherwise - as well.
