I have heard of various concerns ranging from "the company might be able to use it to access my medical history" to " their IT might get hacked and IHI numbers could end up on the dark web" to "my IHI is none of their business"

Now all of these concerns may be true or they may be false. At the end of the day, I have heard that the IHI is irrelevant to establishing ones vaccination status so why give sensitive information to an entity that has no reason for having said information. Further, I have heard rumours that there may be a lack of trust of the entity's ability to safely administer and control such sensitive information given things that may have happened in the past with administration of other systems important to employees.
