When you get your end of service benefit under UAE law it is based on your BASIC. This school allowance you talk of does not make sense. If you are collecting that then you will not save a dirham on housing as you have a family. When I was there most guys had to add to the housing allowance from their BASIC salary. I believe housing for a skipper is 155k a year now. Try pay for a villa, dewa, internet in the UAE on that. Do you take it out of the schooling allowance of a kid ? Thought that was for education.
