I've recently got the UK PPL, and still require a good chunk of hour building to progress to MEP or CPL courses in the UK. My current club has been recommending the CBIR in the UK also...

Was definitely thinking of hour building in the USA for speed and cost reasons. I felt an FAA IR would allow me to hour build IFR which I thought might be more useful experience than pottering around in VFR

Would anyone have insight as to whether hour building with an IR gives you better experience overall as a pilot, compared to just VFR?
