Have recently participated in an attempt to do a calandar reset, with Turbomeca, at 16.5 years on a 1000 hr rem,engine( out of Ec120) of course it ends in tears. Supposedly a set price 70k Eur, subject to of course, to what they find; it ends up well over 300k Eur.
In one way I understand it, your an engineer with an engine pulled apart on the bench, an engine that if you say so, will fly around for another 15 years if you give it a tick; or say no, put in a new this or that, just to be sure, then go home and sleep at night. Unfortunately the this or that is worth 100,000 of thousands of dollars. Does anyone have a half life engine for sale?
