The Dart will clearly improve the customer experience for those that will use it and will be a big day for the airport when it eventually opens. In contrast the terminal customer experience is set to get worse with the planning application for 19m passengers with zero changes planned for the terminal.
As for the directors, they sit on the committee for the airport but are called directors. For all the other council committees they would be called members. No qualifications are needed to be a director but they do need to be a councillor. LLAL does have a director who is an advisor but he doesn’t get a vote.
Government pressure with their investigation though is already having an effect. For the first time LLAL now has a separate CEO as up to now the CEO of the Council and LLAL has always been the same person. The new LLAL CEO is being paid a salary not by LLAL but by the Luton taxpayer so how can that be right?
