Come on guys, allow them a little dramatic leeway. The producer was interviewed on Radio4 today and explained the space. A sub officer also interviewed was quite happy with it.
It's a Military Drama - This lot would be massively disappointed if they could not spend hours picking holes in it!!!!! Let them get on with it - it will keep them out of Matron's hair until it's time for Cocoa and bed!
