The point of the article is that an obsession with daily case numbers and deaths is unhealthy and causing major mental illness issues amongst the population when COVID is something that we are going to have to live with. Get jabbed and get on with life, the chances that you will die from this disease is significantly less than other leading causes. It is of note as well that the lockdowns and isolation are leading to a resurgence in other respiratory conditions such as RSV which has lead to many more children in hospital than covid has.
Okey doke, thanks for that link.

That's an absolutely terrible way to present that data - you use pie graphs to illustrate relative parts of a whole data set (eg all deaths), not bits of partial data sets. According to the article, the data is meant to be weekly averages for the month of July. Despite referencing the GOV.UK website, they've got the July numbers wrong - there were 1,688 COVID-19 deaths in the UK for July for a weekly average of 381, not 242 as they've shown.

I don't know if you noticed but they've got another graphic, their "dashboard", that shows 3,876 COVID-19 deaths for July - more than twice the actual number.

And just by the bye, there is something drastically wrong with that deaths by various causes data that they've presented in their "dashboard" - they show 16,238 deaths from heart disease for July; that represents one third of the total deaths from heart disease for 2020!

I agree with the premise that we need to be focussed on the right data, but Hell's bells, if you are trying to advance that argument, how about getting the data right and presenting it appropriately?

All in all, a good reason not to rely on The Daily Mail for accurate data.
