People should be concerned about heart disease, and it is pretty easy to reduce your chance of heart issues. Get regular checks, make sure you take family history seriously, exercise and eat properly. It's just as preventable as most other diseases. A lot of Cancers can be lifestyle related as well so can be avoided with proper precautions. None of that needs to take the 'fun' out of life, just a bit of work and education.
As said before all those things affect the individual, you can't spread heart disease or cancer simply by walking around. Covid required quarantine and lockdowns because it spreads and kills without much input from the carrier.
We are getting to the pointy end now where we need to come out of the lockdown mindset though and move on, a few more months and we'll see.
