I wont post reems as I have done an account before of what it cost me, etc which you can prob search for but my advice would be:
1) Allow 4 weeks for the PPL.
2) DONT take your missus unless she fully understands she wont see until about 6pm each even (no nagging to take her to Disneyworld, etc !
)
3) DO THE EXAMS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE UK!!!!! This is probably the biggest piece of advice I can give, you only have to concentrate on the flying then.
