Another thought is to do the CPL ME IR now while the schools are not busy so you can complete the training relatively quickly. Remember that once there are signs of market recovery everyone that has been sitting on the fence will jump on the bandwagon and push to get the training done. With quite a few larger (highly leveraged) ATO's gone into administration the overall market's training capacity has been reduced so you would be possibly be looking at substantial delays in the training once things return to "normal".
Having the CPL ME IR you would then only need to do a quick 2 week MCC/JOC to be able to start applying for jobs.
As Negan mentioned above, do not fall for the 30K P2F scheme that is currently so in vogue with the Instagram crowd. Wait, be patient and real opportunities will come along. My point is that you need to be qualified to take advantage of any of those opportunities, however unlikely, and the only way to do this is when you have the CPL ME IR completed.
