FAA to EASA type

Hi all,

I'm getting stuck in finding a path to convert my FAA ATP and type ratings to EASA, looking for advice. The ATOs and CAAs have been less helpful than one would hope I've completed theory/medical/language requirements and have the total flight time requirements, just must figure the proper sim checks.

I have >500 hrs in B737. If I were FAA current, I could do a straightforward conversion through any number of ATOs, but I'm 30 months since PC. Is there anyone in Europe that can do an FAA requal? PanAm can handle it in Miami for $7k USD, but would rather not travel so far.

I have <500 hrs in A320 and 20 months since PC. Is it even possible to convert with so few hours? There doesn't appear to be an intermediate process between needing just a skills test or needing an entire new type rating course.

The validation process seems to have lower requirements than conversion. Is it possible to validate and use that as the means to get the currency needed to convert?

Would love to hear from anyone who has walked this path. Thank you.
