I would certainly get a PPL(H) on something interesting, say a Bell 47, having obtained a Class 1 medical. In fact the Canadian CPL(H) is only 100 hours anyway - if the school is good enough you could get your check ride in, say, 80-85 hours (I've seen it done) then use up the rest doing something like mountain flying or slinging.
