737NG RX-xx Point
Hi folks,
A new FO was asking me recently if it is possible to make a user defined waypoint based off an RX-xx point to aid descent planning during a visual approach. e.g. making a base leg to the RX-xx point.
I tried but was unable to do this. The best I could manage was to make a waypoint 4NM back from the RW-xx point followed by a base leg.
Is there actually any way of making user defined waypoints from a RX-xx point and if not why would this be the case?
It seems logical to me that this function should be available and our company SOP is to use the RX function for visual approaches when no FMC approach procedure is available.
