Mate…I know that is fairly easy to jump into the “hate wizz” bandwagon but what you say is simply not true.
They will not send you to punish you, they will send you when you get your upgrade (in case you’re an f/o) to the less requested base and in need of captains. It’s pure logistic, same as Ryan Air.
During covid for sure commuting was a pain in the ass from these places but currently it is another reality, especially if you consider how big is wizz network.
Regarding quality of life…it is a matter of managing expectations. Most of these bases are in Easter Europe so that is the reality you should expect.
As someone mention it, some of these bases are 1 hour away from really fun stuff. Just not for bitter people who will stay in their apartment complaining about everything.
