Bears are not welcome at Luton, as it has been discovered they don’t fit on the Dart after extensive testing.
Wizz are eyeing up Gatwick like Easyjet once did. Remembering the days when Easyjet announced its first routes from London South Airport. Who would have thought then that Easyjet would end up being Gatwick’s largest airline when it was Luton’s airline. Certainly not those at LLAL and those were the days when Luton always had spare capacity but the higher yield was where the passengers wanted to fly from and they preferred Gatwick, as did the airlines. I doubt anything has really changed as Luton still has a serous image problem of its own making. Adding another potential million passengers without any terminal expansion when passengers and bears are already forced to sit on the floor won’t help matters.
Luton needs investment to its existing terminal from the airport operator to attract a more diverse selection of passengers and airlines rather than those that demand £10 tickets and then spend nothing in the terminal to save money.
