exactly. And there are several reasons why we are behind. Some legitimate, some due to bungling, and some political.

as for the situation being the same when most of us are vaccinated. I doubt that

The Uk have just decided that any form of vaccine passport will not be required domestically. Which is how it should be. Once we have around 70% vaccinated then life needs to return to normal. Not a new normal. The old normal. The only time you should need to prove vaccination is for international flights. Period. Apart from that, no QR code’s. No masks, no social distancing, no lockdowns…
