Does anyone else not think the airport is currently in a very vulnerable position?
While easyJet and Wizz have remained staunchly loyal to LTN, with all the potential slots becoming available at Gatwick from Norwegian, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, we might see a large number of operations switched to the south London airport.
We have to face facts, Gatwick is nearly always the preferred option for airlines operating from London over Luton, airlines can command higher fares, increased loads and greater profitability from there.
Im not in anyway saying we will see the airlines vanish from the Luton, but could potentially see their operations diluted.
