My recollection of the '6 is that the fuel control system was different or more complex than some other machines?
Definitely not casting aspersions or making any suggestions as I know nothing about this prang, but if it should turn out to be a fuel delivery issue I wouldn't be entirely surprised. The ergonomics of some craft, and the lack of standardisation between them all unnecessarily contribute to many incidents and accidents, IMV.
