Southwest has a huge market within the mainland US.
Ryanair's patch is the EU, plus UK, Israel, Norway, and other surrounding countries with liberal air traffic agreements ("open skies"). I suspect that matches the US market. Ryanair can continue to grow by joining the dots, competing with incumbents, and expanding to adjacent countries (probably not including Belarus
