You'd have a higher chance of falling down the steps on a wet day during a turnaround and killing your self than suffering a career ending reaction from a vaccine.
The thing is we don't know. This got waived through alot of normal testing due to the world crisis. I would guess this why it has been optional so far. If you voluntarily get it then you are the one taking the risk.
