It's a poor tactical use of a B772 but it could be in their strategic interests. JetBlue are clearly after LHR slots, I'd be surprised if they really want to fly a small London operation across two airports, LHR slots may soon be selling at lower levels as weaker airlines seek emergency liquidity in fast cash, that may also be good news for LGW as some airlines will leave higher cost LHR.
