We happen to be in the same situation then. Maybe I'm better off since I happen to fly for a cargo operator, but I really can't understand your overly pessimistic view. There will be a time to fight for better terms and conditions. It happened already in 2017 with Ryanair.
And one doesn't need to necessarily work for one of those majors to have a nice fruitful career in the industry.
