Foxxster, as I said above, don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Most decent Malaysians were against the corrupt government at the time, but that does not make them political activists. The line of thought has been used by many on the Internet to come up with a poor excuse for a motive to the mass murder suicide narrative. If you follow this line of thinking, then you have been fooled. The official investigation has concluded that there was no reason for the Captain to be suicidal. Stick to the facts.
