Why would a Sea King exhaust be any different from all the other helicopters such as the Wessex 5 first model with the short exhaust pipe which filled the whole interior with exhaust to the point where some passengers vomited. It wasn't long before much longer pipes were fitted. Wasn't the Sea King exhaust pipes at the back?
Nigel Osborn this photo (not the best) from the RCN shows the exhaust trail back across the cargo door, exacerbated when in the hover to put the fumes neatly into the doorway and the crew.
