What we seem to be forgetting here is how people have been treated.
No amount of stories about lizards and spiders can prepare you for that.
An email in the afternoon telling you that it’s over.
Then no further contact from the company you have devoted your life to. And told not to expect and update from flight ops.
However, it’s clearly important to send us videos of pilots throwing their hats to music. Do you remember that?
We know what the Middle East is and we know what to expect.
But we couldn’t have seen a global pandemic coming. Could we?
Remember, everything from trying to cancel your phone line to closing your bank account to trying to contact end of service is a nightmare.
Its a horrible journey and the people that have been through should not be forgotten.
And telling us to read a story about frogs and camel spiders is quite frankly outrageous and demeaning.
