this is where you are wrong. The jobs are still there but it’s being transferred to pilots in CX some of whom do not have
PR status and as long as there are fully qualified pilots in HK, they should be considered as pe the immigration requirement for visa renewal.
I think the non renewals would be a gift to cathay as they can cut down the man power as they please without offering redundancy pay and when the market picks up again they can just tap off the local supply of pilots when required.
