CJ,in a similar vein,a friend of mine had an old vauxhall van,and the knob on the gear-lever had been replaced with the stick-top from a Hunter(Hawker,not Hillman}.The trigger, when 'fired',activated an electronic gadget taken from a toy machine-gun,and was used as a stress reducer when cut-up by other drivers etc.Better than shouting!
I had a friend who similarly fitted a P51 joystick top to his Audi stick shift.The trigger switch was wired to a locomotive horn.
