Lithium allowed for maintenance medication
The GM3 MED.B.095 is described by EASA for LAPL application as follows.
After full recovery from a mood disorder and after full consideration of the individual case, a fit assessment may be considered, depending on the characteristics and gravity of the mood disorder. If stability on maintenance psychoactive medication is confirmed, a fit assessment may be considered. If the dosage or type of medication is changed, a further evaluation may be required until stability is confirmed.
Question : after finishing my bipolar treatment for 5 years, I am now stable for 4 years after finishing te treatment, using Lithium as daily maintenance medication.
Is the use of maintenance medication of Lithium now a reason to deny the issue of a LAPL for me, simply by the statement of the AME that lithium is not allowed in any case.
