A dash in the MMEL means a variable number installed, or the number required can be variable, depending on the customer fit or regulations applicable to area of operation. When the operator is preparing their MEL by tailoring the MMEL for their own fleet they should, where possible, add the correct numbers dependant on their aircraft fit or regulations applicable to area of operation.

Number installed and number required may not be listed if not practical and not relevant for dispatch determination.
