I would have thought that QF giving away any flying to a 3rd party when they have stood down pilots and the aircraft to do the job sitting idle would have been more a subject of angst than whether those pilots get a slim chance to fly for that 3rd party.
You mean exactly like the recent and rapid expansion of the Network A320 operation in Perth? That’s for a whole other thread, but QF have plenty of recent form when it comes to growing a subsidiary while another (more expensive) entity is mostly stood down.
