I forgot to mention in one of those quotes you posted, QF longhaul pilots will not be getting a seat over a qualified TYPE RATED pilot. I know that for a fact!!
As for the quote about QF pilots returning when things pick up, that was under the assumption Alliance was paying for all the training before it had been discussed that QF was actually picking up the tab and all associated costs which completely changes the outlook.
But hey, dont let FACTS get in the way of a good story.
