Rob if you get an aeronautical engineering degree ‘even’ a third that is still quite an achievement. The ATPL is not difficult although the volume of information is high. Don’t beat yourself up. If you can cope with an engineering degree you will not have an issue with the academic content of the ATPL. For example the maths is much more basic. The only point I would make is that if you are determined to fly, enjoy the journey. Do NOT pay up front, go modular and avoid the larger and more ‘prestigious’ (they are not) flying schools.
