Think people are confusing the A380 tail camera on the top of the tail with the 777 stabiliser cameras. The stabiliser camera are wonderful and you can see both gear, enabling precise control and positioning on 180 turns on runways and also turns onto narrow taxiways.
It is galling that I am redundant from the 777 yet there are people doing walk rounds and flying who don’t even know the cameras on the aircraft they are supposedly rated on and still flying. Says a lot to me about redundancy processes in some parts of the world.
