Isthmian Airways used Hamilton floatplanes for their service linking the Atlantic to the Pacific between respectively
Cristóbal, Colón and
Balboa in the
Panama Canal Zone.
The airline impudently claimed the 30-minute flight as the "fastest transcontinental service in North America".
