But your Hobbs ticks over in decimals. Maintenance logs are in decimals. And minutes are a pain to add up on a calculator, though Excel can probably cope with them.

I was extremely glad when, in the early 70s, our air force switched to decimals and my secondary job of keeping the training records of the Bograts in the squadron became much easier.
