The pilot's "slurred" speech seems to begin just a few minutes after takeoff, when he started to descend, resulting in an altitude alert from the controller. "Slurred" speech can be caused by several things, among them physical exhaustion, hypoxia, intoxication, stroke et.al. I don't know if "suicide by airplane" had anything to do with this crash, but according to Foxxster, the pilot had an interesting background.
I suspect that this will be a very challenging investigation.
