Hmmm, methinks the credibility of the second part of the story (service rivalry) is undermined somewhat by the claim that the Army is fighting a rearguard action for “one of its own” to get the job instead of Gen Sanders, who is after all in the Army... looks to me like ****-stirring over-interpretation of the source’s comments
