Their maritime patrol role requires 1312 Flight aircraft to have hand-held cameras aboard. Whilst normally used by the flight crew, for specific missions they often have one of the Station photographers aboard. During my tour I flew so often on these tasks as supernumerary crew that I received flying pay.
