The book 'South Yorkshire's Own' : The Story of 616 Squadron , Delve and Pitchfork , Doncaster books , 1990 has three photos of the squadron Meteor 1's but their serial numbers are impossible to make out ! Individual codes include D , H and Y with Q being one of the four white Meteors , listed as EE225/239/240 and 241 , which flew from Colerne to Brussels/Melsbroek on the 4 February 1945 . The book also mentions the squadron receiving both EE213/G and EE214/G from Farnborough on the 12 July 1944 .

In 'Fighter Squadrons Of The RAF' , Rawlings lists 616 as having EE213 , EE214 , EE219/YQ-D , EE220/YQ-G , EE227YQ-Y and EE229/YQ-W and I have also seen YQ-D/G and W listed in 2 other books associated with the same serial numbers .
Best I can do and a Merry Christmas to one and all .
