Passengers fitness to fly - PRIVATE Covid check

This arrived out of the blue this morning. It seems passengers should be forewarned and it seems logical that the airlines should perhaps do the warning. The links work on my PC, but then, I have my email running. Give them a try.

If you’re planning on a trip abroad this winter to visit family and friends (or for any other reason) it’s more important than ever to know the steps that you need to take in order to remain safe.

Some airlines and countries are now requiring proof of your COVID-negative status prior to being allowed entry. This kind of test, otherwise known as a ‘Fit-to-Fly’ test, is not available on the NHS and involves a swab sample that is sent to a laboratory. You can view the full list of countries and their various entry requirements here.

Patient Access is now able to offer these Fit-to-Fly tests via a number of local pharmacies with a rapid turnaround. This ensures that you have the appropriate certification to allow smooth travel during the festive period.

It goes without saying that if you’ve been asked to self-isolate or are showing any symptoms of COVID-19, you should not travel, and should remain in self-isolation.

This Christmas period will be different from our 'regular' times; however with some forward planning and by taking the appropriate measures we can all ensure a happy and safe festive season.
